Our collaborations
Favorites
soandso cultivates its love of raw, authentic and natural elements by moving its creations into universes close to its own or by sharing, in its boutique in Aix-en-Provence, its favorites.
These local or more distant collaborations have in common the attachment to handmade work where nature is omnipresent!
La Coste Castle
art in the vineyards
An encounter with an exceptional place where contemporary art combines with a love of vines and old stones. The Bancaou collection, in silver, then silver and gold, was born, composed of small, harmoniously irregular pieces, like an echo of the dry stone walls of Provençal landscapes.
Available exclusively at the Château La Coste art center bookstore and at the soandso boutique in Aix-en-Provence.
Motoko Saigo
precious ceramics
Having fallen under the spell of Motoko's creations during a Parisian getaway, Sophie, the creator of soandso, wanted to showcase this unique work in her boutique in Aix-en-Provence. The alchemy of Motoko's ceramic pieces and Sophie's jewelry makes perfect sense.
There is a sort of resemblance in these creations which mix the rough and the smooth, exquisite simplicity with assured elegance.
Mad and Len
Olfactory journeys
The South of France is the common setting for Mad et Len potpourris and perfumes and soandso jewelry.
It embodies a passion for travel and materials provided by nature, such as resin and volcanic rock. The perfumes are raw, devoid of pomp and artisanal production.
The hand-forged boxes inspired by the spirit of apothecary offices from the beginning of the last century, halfway between sophistication and purity, blend perfectly into Sophie's boutique-workshop.
Olivier Girault
inner landscapes
"The support of my painting is of great importance, a subtle interplay between the work of the painter and the response of this support. The wood paper, restores, reflects, absorbs and creates a material of life in which I will search and create. The random will guide me towards the unexpected, where I did not think to go, precisely where my artistic work begins."
These words from the artist make sense in Sophie's choice to highlight the painter's works in the Aix-en-Provence boutique-workshop.
If the sensitivity to an artist's work requires no explanation, it can resonate in common affinities. This is the case of the work of Olivier Girault , whose landscapes as interiors, melted and luminous, subtly evoke the encounter between matter, intention and forms, promised to the miracles of chance... The soul of Sophie's jewelry is embodied in this timeless nature, conducive to contemplation and reverie. If soandso were painting...
